Renting gives you the right equipment for the job at hand. Renting means no maintenance costs. You don’t have to worry about breakdowns. Renting gives you more variety in the types of jobs you can tackle, or for those occasional needs. No warehousing costs or property tax matters.
What is required to rent?
If you would like to open a commercial account with Rental One, then please fill out our credit application. If you prefer to rent with Cash Terms, a local valid driver’s license with a verifiable address is required.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
If you have a commercial account with Rental One, then payment is required Net 10 days after invoice. If you are renting on Cash Terms, then payment is required prior to the rental. Some items do require a fuel deposit in addition to the rental amount.
What is Loss Damage Waiver?
Under a normal rental contract, the customer is responsible for all loss and damage to the equipment they have on rent. The Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) provision is a contractual agreement between Rental One and the customer. This agreement limits and reduces the liability and responsibility of a customer in certain situations. However, there are many circumstances in which the customer will be liable for loss or damage done to the equipment. Please refer to Rental One’s Terms and Conditions for more information.
How do Pro-rated Rental Rates work?
Pro-rated rental rates are a big advantage for our customers. They are applied when a rental return is over the allotted time period for the project. For example, if a customer returns a piece of equipment after 28 hours of possession, then Rental One will charge 1 day plus 4 prorated hours [(daily rate/8 hours) x 4]. Normal practice in the equipment rental industry is to charge 2 days rent for the 28 hours of possession.
How does Rental One handle Overtime?
Overtime occurs when more machine hours are put onto a piece of equipment than our rental rates allow. If this takes place, then the overtime hours will be pro-rated.
Does Rental One apply Shift Rates?
Yes. Shift rates occur when a customer runs a machine a full shift over the allowed machine hours for that time of possession. Rental rates are based on one shift basis of use – i.e. 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, and 160 hours/4 weeks. However, when a customer runs a machine for additional shifts (such as 2 or 3 shifts per day), Rental One applies the shift rates.
